Description
Actaea simplex 'Chocoholic' (Baneberry) is a striking perennial that adds a rich, dark elegance to garden borders. Its deep chocolate-purple leaves contrast beautifully with tall, slender spikes of delicate pinkish-white flowers that bloom from late summer to early autumn.
This variety grows to about 90–120 cm in height and 45–60 cm in spread, thriving in partially shaded areas. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and is ideal for adding height and texture to shaded borders or woodland gardens.
'Chocoholic' is a hardy perennial that attracts pollinators with its sweet fragrance. It typically takes 2–3 years to fully establish, growing stronger each year.
