Description
The Pineapple Lily (Eucomis bicolor) is a unique plant with long, strap-like leaves that have a reddish-purple tint. Its purple-tinted flowers bloom on an upright, purple stem, creating a striking display. Perfect for summer borders in a sunny, sheltered spot, it also grows well in containers on a sunny patio or indoors in a conservatory.
The spiky crown of flowers gives Eucomis its nickname, "Pineapple Flower" or "Pineapple Lily."
In colder climates, it's best to lift the bulbs from the ground before winter and store them in a cool, dry place to protect them.

- Set the bulbs or bare root in place, pointed side or sprout side upward.
- Cover the bulbs by replacing the soil and water thoroughly.
