The Tulip 'King's Orange' was bred by the well-known Dutch breeder Jan Ligthart. Jan Ligthart is a respected name in the field of tulip breeding, and he has introduced several popular varieties to the market. The 'King's Orange' tulip was introduced to the tulip market in the early 2000s.
The 'King's Orange' tulip is an early to mid-season bloomer, generally flowering in April in most temperate regions.
